Certificated Early Childhood Teacher
Greytown Early Years is a community-based early childhood centre seeking a passionate and committed teacher to join our supportive, values-led team.
We are governed by a parent board and guided by Te Whariki, our core values (happiness, communication, respect, motivation, trust), and our learning priorities of kaitiakitanga, whakapapa, whanaungatanga, rangatiratanga, and manaakitanga.
This is a permanent, full-time (5 days per week) position. Whether you’re beginning your teaching journey or bringing years of experience, we’d love to hear from you. Structured induction and mentoring are available for those who need it.
About the role:You’ll be part of an experienced, inclusive team that values strong relationships, reflective practice, and high-quality teaching and learning.
Applicants must:- Hold a recognised early childhood teaching qualification
- Hold a current Practising Certificate (Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand)
- Be enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to quality ECE practice
- Build strong, respectful relationships with tamariki, whanau, and colleagues
- Demonstrate interest in bicultural practice and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Hold a valid work visa * (we are *not an accredited employer*)
- Be available to start as soon as possible
