Painter & Foreman Painter position's available - Christchurch

We pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality painting service to residential & commercial clients throughout Canterbury and are currently seeking an experienced Painter & an experienced Foreman Painter to join our well established company.

Experienced Painter: This is a permanent full-time role working in a small team being lead by a Foreman Painter.

As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for:
  • Completing tasks set by your Foreman Painter within the time frame and completed to a high standard
  • Undertaking all aspects of the painting trade from preparation to finished product
  • Working in a team environment as well as unsupervised occasionally
  • Following health and safety procedures as well as identifying health & safety risks on site and reporting them to your Foreman
To be a successful candidate you will need:
  • A solid background (3+ years) painting
  • Knowledge of paint products and coating systems used, particularly Resene and Dulux.
  • Be reliable, enthusiastic, and honest with a great eye for detail
  • Own reliable transport
Foreman Painter:

This is a permanent full-time role who will be leading and influencing their team, helping them to grow further and accomplish greater goals, while ensuring the health and safety of the team

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for:
  • Organizing and running jobs, assigned to you by our Operations Manager, efficiently and on time.
  • Communicating positively with your assigned team and actively helping them achieve daily/weekly expectations
  • Ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and with quality workmanship
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Providing outstanding customer service with both customers and suppliers
  • Ensuring health and safety is a priority at all times
Applicant requirements:
  • A solid background (5+ years) as an experienced painter
  • Experience running jobs & directing a small team of painters to achieve on-time, high quality work
  • A positive hard-working attitude
  • Excellent communication skills with both staff and clients, with a willingness to listen to instructions
  • Ability to read plans, specifications & colour schedules
  • Excellent time management, organisational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of paint products and coating systems used, particularly Resene and Dulux
  • Full drivers license
