Caldwell Contracting is a family owned Contracting business based at Edendale, Southland. We are specialist in Agricultural, Transport, Civil and Environmental Contracting services
Our contracting services include pit silage, baling, cultivation, drilling, effluent disposal and excavation/earthworks and transport services.
We are currently looking for Tractor/Machine operators for the 2025/26 Harvest season.
We are looking for operators for the following machinery- Claas Triple mowers
- Claas 4 Rotor Rakes
- Claas 950 Harvesters
- JCB 435 Loaders
- Trailer Drivers
- McHale Fusion 3 Balers
- Cultivation equipment Reversible Ploughs, Power Harrows, Planters/Drills.
- Tractor/Machine operation
- Prepping and positioning the plant for operation
- Adjusting speed height and depth of implements
- Servicing plant and performing minor repairs as required
- Keeping all plant clean and tidy
- Keeping accurate time records
- One season of driving agricultural machinery is required (minimum 4 months)
- Full NZ drivers License or offshore equivalent is required.
- Physically fit and motivated
- Ability to communicate well with Management, staff and clients
- Able to present yourself well; clean and tidy
- Enjoy working with and able to contribute to a positive Team environment
- Competitive rates of pay, modern machinery and a variety of work $25-$35 per hr.

- Minimum of 30 hr per week
These are seasonal fixed-term positions from October 2025 until May 2026.
