About our ServiceAs the General Surgery Registrar you will learn from highly skilled, genuine and caring consultants and have access to teaching and training in a department active in research which provides opportunities for presentations and publications.
You will work alongside skilled and supportive general surgical, colorectal, upper GI, breast and oncoplastic, melanoma, endocrine and laparoscopic surgeons and have an opportunity to learn and undertake endoscopy and minor procedure plastics and skin lesion removals.
While the role is predominantly based in Whangarei you will be part of a team that takes seriously its commitment to providing care closer to home in our community.Therefore, Registrars may accompany consultants to provide operating and clinics within the wider Northland region.
About the LocationAt Health New Zealand- Northland, you will gain excellent experience in one of New Zealand's largest medium sized Districts where we take great pride in our level of training and education.
Whangarei is the largest hospital in Northland, providing secondary care services for the region, supported by four regional hospitals.
