We are located in the heart of Wellington City, 192 Cuba street.

We converted the old banking chamber to the dining room in 1996 so have decades developing the best systems, and standards of professionalism. Those combined with our genuine spirit of hospitality has earned us a reputation that brings in guests from all over New Zealand and across the world.

In a Restaurant Manager the owners are looking for;

In short; We need a manager with very good NZ wine knowledge who can run the bar and support the management team. They will be the go-to person for high-level wine knowledge and service. They may need to lead the entire dining service when required and be the duty manager.

We want applicants who are ambitious and ready to learn and develop into the leading manager.

We are only looking for a New Zealand resident.

A Manager, who can juggle multiple tasks and prioritise the next most important one.

A Manager, who will always be positive, no matter how tough the work or long hours required.

A Manager, who can delegate tasks fairly and who follows up to ensure tasks is achieved to standard.

A Manager who is open to change to improve product and profitability

2 years supervising/managing experience in a quality licensed restaurant is a minimal expectation.
Working experience in international restaurants is an advantage.
Hospitality and management qualifications are important.
Managers certificate and WSET qualifications preferred.
Knowledge and passion for food, wine and cocktails is essential.

Beverage ordering, receiving, pricing, stock control systems experience is expected.

The position is permanent with a minimum of 30 hours maximum of 45 per week typically over 5 days with 2 days off together. Starting hourly rate range $30-35 plus performance bonus

Wednesday to Sunday is most typical.

We are interested in hearing from duty managers if they possess most of the required attributes with a view to potentially developing them into the role.
