About the role
Southland Electrical and Refrigeration are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join our team in Invercargill, Southland. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
What you'll be doing
Installing, servicing and repairing a wide range of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment
Diagnosing and troubleshooting system faults and issues
Performing routine maintenance and servicing on equipment
Providing customer service and support to our clients
Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards
Keeping accurate records and documentation
What we're looking for
Formal qualifications in refrigeration and air conditioning, such as a trade certificate
Several years of hands-on experience working as a refrigeration engineer in a commercial setting
Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently
Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
A commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail
A clean driving license
Electrical Service Technician License
Refrigerant Handlers License
