Due to expanding our business, McGregor Concrete Is looking for a full time motivated and experienced maintenance engineer to join our team.
McGregor concrete has been trading since 1966, we specialise in Concrete and prefabricated concrete, roading metal and aggregates to support local business and farms around Southland.

Our talented fabrication team keeps the business on track and ensures smooth operation of the day-to-day operations and future projects.
We currently have 2 full time engineers and 1 full time mechanic based at our Winton site and looking for another member to join the team.
Key duties- Welding and fabrication of metal components and structures
- Ensure the sound operation of the crushing plants, gravel-based equipment, diggers, trucks, reducing mechanical breakdowns
- Managing scheduled maintenance of plant equipment
- Assembling and fitting fabricated parts
- Following all safety requirements and procedures
- Experienced/Proficient welder
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, and conveyor systems
- Experience with heavy fabrication
- Confidence using fabrication tools and workshop equipment
- Based in Winton with plant satellite sites around Central Southland
- Own tools, basic tooling preferred
The successful applicant will need to be work fit and be required to complete a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
