About the role
As our Compliance Team Leader, you'll ensure our organisation meets all internal and external compliance obligations. This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise will oversee our animal control, building control, and monitoring officers.You'll develop and implement robust compliance procedures and work closely with stakeholders to drive alignment with legislation and bylaws.
You'll also have a unique opportunity to build connections beyond the organisation - working with the wider community to raise awareness, provide education, support people in understanding their obligations, and strengthen public confidence in local compliance practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the compliance team and champion best practice approaches
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure practices are up to date
- Conduct risk assessments and manage reporting processes
- Collect evidence and manage investigations
- Support community education and outreach around compliance matters
