Working within a multidisciplinary crisis service, you will undertake acute assessments, provide brief follow up, support treatment planning, connect whaiora with appropriate services, and help develop safe pathways forward for recovery. This role offers the opportunity to apply advanced mental health skills within a dynamic and supportive team environment.About the Team/Service/LocationThe Acute Care Team provides accessible, responsive, and culturally inclusive specialist Mental Health and Addiction Services to the Bay of Plenty community.

The service supports whaiora and whānau experiencing acute mental health crisis through assessment, intervention, treatment planning, and coordination of ongoing care. You will join a multidisciplinary team of Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and other experienced mental health professionals who are committed to delivering high quality care and supporting one another in a collaborative environment.Click here to learn more about the Bay of PlentyAbout YouYou are an experienced mental health professional who thrives in fast paced clinical environments and remains calm under pressure.

You bring strong assessment skills, sound clinical judgement, and the ability to make timely decisions while maintaining the safety and wellbeing of whaiora, whānau, staff, and the wider community. You also enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team while also being confident managing complex situations independently.
