General Civil Labourer - Whenuapai
About the Role**
We are seeking hardworking and reliable Civil Labourers to join major wastewater, stormwater, and underground services projects across New Zealand.
Working alongside experienced civil crews, you'll be involved in a variety of drainage and infrastructure works including trenching, pipe installation, site preparation, material handling, and general construction support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and wants consistent long-term employment within the civil construction industry.
**Key Responsibilities**- Assist with drainage, wastewater, stormwater, and civil construction activities.
- Support pipe laying crews and excavation teams.
- Safely use hand and power tools, plant, and construction equipment.
- Move materials and maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and crews to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
- Follow site safety procedures and company standards at all times.
- Previous experience in civil construction, drainage, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
- 2-3 years' labouring experience within a civil environment preferred.
- Confined Space certification and experience highly regarded but not essential.
- Physically fit and comfortable performing demanding manual work.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team.
- Full New Zealand Driver Licence and reliable transport.
- Current Site Safe or ConstructSafe certification.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Ability to work long hours when required.
- $25 - $28 hourly rates paid weekly.
- PPE provided, including specialised safety equipment.
