The Store Person supports the efficient and safe handling of freight within the depot, ensuring all products are received, stored, and despatched in good condition. Responsibilities include loading and unloading freight, maintaining accurate freight movements, and ensuring chiller and freezer rooms operate at the correct temperatures in line with company standards and customer requirements.
This is a part-time role from Monday to Friday, 6am to 10am
What you will be doing:- Safely and efficiently handle and move freight within the depot.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate pallet positioning and sorting.
- Monitor and maintain correct chiller and freezer temperatures.
- Keep work areas, loading bays, and surrounding spaces clean and tidy.
- Manage and record CHEP pallet movements accurately.
- Open and secure depot facilities at the start and end of each shift.
- Comply with all Health and Safety policies, reporting hazards and incidents promptly.
- Support daily operations and assist colleagues as required.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and reliability in all aspects of work.
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to help others.
- A genuine team player who values respect and collaboration.
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to roll up your sleeves.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or freight handling
- Forklift licence required.
- Good attention to detail and care when handling freight.
- Comfortable working in a chiller or freezer environment.
- Commitment to working safely and following company procedures.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused approach.
