You would be working as part of a dynamic and patient focused team, responsible for: Delivering Phototherapy treatments for Dermatology patients Pre clinic vital signs and ECGs if required FibroScan of the liver Assisting our Dermatologists with excisions and biopsies Close working relationship with Consultants and Registrars Excellent working knowledge of hospital systems including computer literacy.
General duties to maintain clinic rooms including setting up with documentation and any other equipment required for the clinic to run smoothly. General ordering of supplies and any other tasks required.Please click here to view the position descriptionAbout the Team/Service/ LocationThe Medical Clinic Nurse plays an important role with ensuring that patients are ready to be seen by the specialist Clinician prior to their appointment, developing excellent working relationships with Clinicians and patients and that when required, assistance is available.
This position also takes the lead in Phototherapy treatments and Fibro Scanning clinics.The Medical Outpatient Department is located at Taranaki Base Hospital and runs from Monday to Friday. Clinics are held by both Clinicians and Clinical Nurse Specialists in various specialities such as Dermatology.Gastroenterology, Neurology, Rheumatology, and General Medicine.We are looking to fill 0.8 FTE, we are open to splitting this FTE to smaller amounts if the right candidates are found and all required shifts can be covered.For more information on living and working in Taranaki click hereAbout youAs an RN you will need the following: 2 years minimum hospital experience Excellent communication and ability to work independently Commitment to ongoing learning Dermatology or minor surgical procedure experience an advantage but not essential Flexibility in working hours and days A `Can do attitude to working in a team Proactive approach to working environmentsWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
