Opportunity to join our Physiotherapy Team as a Senior or Advanced Clinician In Haemophilia- Adult and Paediatric ServicePermanent Part time 0.5FTE (20hours/week)Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced New Zealand Registered Senior or Advanced Clinician Physiotherapist (appointment dependent on experience), to join our team working within the Regional Haemophilia Service at Te Toka Tumai as well as the greater Auckland Region.

This position requires the delivery of expert physiotherapy assessment and management of patients with bleeding disorders (Haemophilia as well as Von Willebrand Disease) of all severities across the adult and paediatric services.This role is based at Greenlane Clinical Centre however physiotherapy is delivered across variety of locations such as Auckland City Hospital, Starship Childrens Hospital and out in the community.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist wanting to advance their career in both clinical leadership and advanced clinical practice.Provide an advanced level of physiotherapy care and expertise in the area of HaemophiliaApply advanced physiotherapy clinical knowledge and skills relative to the effective assessment and intervention of acute bleeding episodes including ultrasound imagingConduct annual reviews for the assessment of joint health, utilising musculoskeletal assessment, imaging and relevant outcome measures to guide exercise prescription and rehabilitation.Providing education to patients, family members, schools or other colleagues, on haemophilia related joint and muscle bleeding, associated complications and best management procedures.Attendance of Haemophilia service meetings and regular liaison with Haemophilia management groupWork collaboratively with the wider Haemophilia MDT to optimise patient outcomesLead in quality improvement, staff and service developmentEvaluate service requirements and lead clinical researchRegardless of your experience, you will receive a thorough orientation and be well supported in your role.Click here to view the position description About the Team/Service/ LocationOur team is made up of passionate and supportive Physiotherapists motivated to improve the quality of life and health outcomes of the communities we serve.
