About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity to work for Te Whare Mārie Specialist Māori Mental Health Service.

Come and join our dynamic multidisciplinary team to support whaiora to achieve their potential, while being supported to grow and understand Matauranga Māori and deliver care through a holistic lens.In this role you'll provide clinical oversight and guidance/education for kaimahi, ability to bring your expertise to the fore.

Speciality assessments and interventions, oversight of prescribing.

About the Team/Service/ LocationTe Whare Mārie is a progressive service that offers Specialist Māori Mental Health Services throughout the Wellington and greater region.
Te Whare Mārie offers effective and appropriate assessment, treatment and care management to Tangata Whaiora and Whanau in a cultural setting, emphasising whanaungatanga, tikanga and Te Reo development.

The Mental Health, Addiction and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) spans across Wairarapa, Hutt Valley and Capital and Coast and includes local, regional, and national services.

The local MHAIDS services are provided from multiple sites within the 3 sub-region
  • greater Wellington, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa.
Te Korowai Whariki services include regional forensic and rehabilitation services covering the Central region while the intellectual disability services extend the length and breadth of the country from six bases located in Whangarei, Auckland, Cambridge, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin.Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley district is located centrally in Wellington and has over 6,000 full-time equivalent staff, making us one of the major employers in the Wellington region.
We operate three hospitals
  • Wellington Regional Hospital in Newtown, Hutt Valley Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital in Porirua
