Clinical Psychologist - Hamilton
About the RoleWe have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic Clinical Psychologist to join the Puawai Regional Forensic Psychiatric Prison team. You will conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, formulating, and implementing evidence-informed psychological treatment to tāngata whaiora.In addition, this position provides the opportunity to learn how to be a court report writer and to provide court reports to various courts in the Midland region re fitness to stand trial, insanity and for disposition under CPMIPA.
There will be close supervision and oversight for this part of the role until skills required were firmly embedded.Key responsibilities:Provide comprehensive psychological assessments including psychometric evaluations, risk assessments and therapeutic interventions.Develop collaborative holistic treatment plans and provide individual and group therapy in collaboration with other disciplines.Develop well informed psychological formulations based on comprehensive assessments.Provide clinical supervision, consultation and advice to the multidisciplinary team.
The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the APEX Psychologists Collective Agreement or the PSA Allied, Public Health, Scientific and Technical Collective Agreement.
