An established after-school education provider based in East Auckland. We provide academic support programmes aligned with the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA standards for primary, intermediate and secondary school students.
Due to growing student enrolments, we are seeking qualified Tutors in Mathematics, English and ESOL to join our teaching team.
Part-time or Full-time opportunities available depending on availability and student demand.

Job Description – Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesThe Tutor will be responsible for delivering academic support to students in small group classes or individual sessions.
Key responsibilities include:- Delivering lessons aligned with the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA standards
- Teaching students in small group tutoring sessions
- Preparing lesson plans, teaching resources and practice exercises
- Supporting students with homework, coursework and exam preparation
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback
- Maintaining a structured and engaging learning environment
- Communicating with centre management regarding teaching plans and student progress
- Supporting students to improve academic performance and learning confidence

Minimum Qualifications and ExperienceApplicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Education, Mathematics, English, Linguistics or a related field
- At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience
- Understanding of the New Zealand education system or equivalent international curriculum
- Ability to teach students in a classroom or small group setting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Experience teaching NCEA courses
- Teaching qualification
- ESOL teaching experience (for ESOL positions)
- Ability to speak Mandarin and English
Pay Rate
Hourly rate: $30 – $45 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
All hours are paid at the agreed hourly rate.There are no commission-based or bonus-based earnings attached to this role.

Minimum Guaranteed HoursMinimum guaranteed hours: 30 to 40 hours per week for full-time roles.
Part-time roles may also be considered with minimum 10 hours per week guaranteed.Actual working hours may vary depending on student enrolments and class schedules.

Typical Working ScheduleTeaching hours generally include: Weekdays
3:30pm – 8:00pmAdditional daytime, weekend or holiday programme hours may be available.
