Processing Manager - Building Consents
Solutions Team Limited are New Zealand's largest private Regulatory company. Over the last 10+ years Solutions Team Limited has been an overflow resource supplier to over 30 TAs/BCA functions throughout New Zealand. As a Team of approximately 50 Building Professionals, we process anywhere between 5,000-8,000 Building Consents and perform over 25,000 Building Inspections on an annual basis.
Additional to our core services of Processing and Inspecting we also offer a lot more to our valued clients throughout New Zealand.
Solutions Team is also an Accredited Organisation Building (AOB) with IANZ – number 88, which we achieved in 2020 and we are the only AOB in New Zealand with accreditation for both processing and inspections covering all categories R1-R3 and C1-C3.
Our head office is in Christchurch, however we also have offices in Queenstown, Timaru and Wellington and have staff that work for us remotely from Cape Reinga to Bluff.
We help and facilitate the following workstreams;- Building Consent processing (R1 to C3)
- Building inspections – (R1 to C3, BCA onsite as well as remote inspections)
- Building inspections – (TA) i.e. EQP building assessments, Swimming Pool inspections, BWOF audits etc
- Auditing on BCA and TA functions
- Technical Leadership
- Competency Assessments
- Acting Management, Team Leader and Technical Lead capability/resource
- IANZ Assessment preparation and CIR resolution
- Training – ongoing and upskilling of technical staff for all levels

ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Canterbury based Processing Manager you will lead and mentor a team of approximately 25 building officials to ensure compliance with the Building Act and Code. You will grow relationships with our clients, the wider industry and our community as well as driving continuous improvement and efficiencies to strengthen what we offer.

Be an expert and highly respected competent and qualified building control officer – ideally with a minimum competency of C2 in processing.
Possess expert knowledge of the Building Act 2004 and the NZ Building Code.

Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret and apply complex legislation effectively.
