About the role
We are looking for a versatile casual administrator to work across the Christchurch Hospital Campus. This role will provide cover while recruiting for permanent roles, or short notice cover for unplanned leave for the following roles:
- Transcription of clinical dictation
- Receptionist cover for front of house
- Tasks associated with the booking of patient appointments
This is a great opportunity for you to join our casual pool and pick-up assignments within normal week-day business hours.
As a casual administrator you will enjoy the variety of working in different health specialties across the Christchurch Hospital Campus and will be given training on in-house systems.
As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement this role has been mapped to National Band 4/Profile 4A

About you
You will be:
- an experienced administrator
- able to relate to patients and their families in a courteous and helpful manner
- have fast and accurate keyboard/data entry skills
- preferably experienced in medical transcription
- enjoy learning new computer systems, and
- have sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Previous experience in transcription, administration or customer service role is essential. Ideally you will be flexible and able to work at short notice.
