We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Te Awamutu Rural Supplies team of nine as a Customer Service Representative. This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and will require working on rostered Saturday mornings and is based in the Te Awamutu Rural Supplies store.
About the role
Based in-store, you will provide knowledgeable sales advice and service to a range of agricultural clients. You will also be involved in day-to-day administration, order processing, stock replenishment, and collaborate closely with our in-store CSR and Sales teams.This position requires physical fitness as it involves manual handling and spending a lot of time on your feet. Our ideal team member will be adaptable and have a keen interest and passion for the local agricultural sector. Your keen eye for detail and ability to relate well to both colleagues and clients will set you up for a long and successful career within our organisation.
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Provide sound advice to a variety of customers based on their needs
- Pro-actively solve queries and problems from customers, suppliers and other staff
- Process sales and product requests with efficiency
- Order, unpack and display merchandise according to company guidelines
- Undertake forklift, ute and trailer driving, and delivery duties.
Skills and experience include the following:
- Previous experience in the New Zealand rural sector is essential
- A full, current, and clean NZ driver's license, with the ability to operate a 4x4, and reverse trailers. Forklift licence and F endorsement will be an advantage however training can be provided
- Good physical fitness as you will be on your feet for the majority of the day and be required to complete many manual handling tasks throughout the day, you will also be required to regularly lift up to 20kgs
- Previous retail and/or sales experience is an advantage but not essential
- Great communication and willingness to be an outstanding team player
- Strong computer literacy skills that enable you to promptly switch on to our systems
- Rural sector knowledge and experiences.
