Temuka Pharmacy has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Pharmacy Technician to join our team and gain valuable experience while studying towards your NZ Certificate in Pharmacy.
This full-time position offers 40 hours per week and is an excellent stepping stone into the world of pharmacy. All training is provided whilst you work, and your study with the Open Polytech allows you to gain understanding in your role.
Job responsibilities of a Pharmacy Technician; *Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications from prescriptions- To sell and advise customers on a range of over-the-counter medicines and products
- Assist customers with common health problems and enquiries
- Stock management and rotation
- Filing and administration tasks
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A keen interest in the healthcare industry and a desire to learn
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software systems quickly
- Strong customer service skills and empathy towards customers
