About the role and who we are looking for:
We are looking for multiple enthusiastic Casual Kitchen Assistants to work at Dunedin Hospital. Due to the casual nature of the job, you will work on a as and when required basis, with operational hours being between 6:30am-8pm.
You will be responsible for:
- delivering trolley meals to patients
- working as part of a team serving food on the trayline
- ensuring hygiene and washing dishes
- ensuring that all requests are dealt with in a professional and timely manner
- assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties.
To be considered for this role you will have the following skills and experience:
If you're our ideal candidate you will be physically fit, hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. Ideally you will already have some experience working in a commercial kitchen, hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167).You will have superior customer service skills but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
