About the Role | Mo te tuunga
We are seeking experienced stainless-steel Polishers to join our team. Reporting to one of our workshop Production Leaders, the purpose of this role is to support the fabrication process by carrying out the finishing, ensuring that time, cost, and customer expectations are met.
In this role, you will gain experience with our robotic and automated polishing systems.
Key responsibilities include:- Polishing items as required using appropriate machinery and to the appropriate finishes.
- Polishing and cleaning using acid baths.
- Understanding and conducting polishing procedures, working to strict quality standards for stainless-steel food-grade vessels.
- Adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
About You | Mo te tangata
Our ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience in polishing stainless-steel or non-ferrous materials. You take pride in your work, you regularly demonstrate your problem-solving skills and initiative, and you are dedicated and reliable.
You will be a hardworking tradesperson who enjoys learning new skills and can work both independently and as part of a professional and collaborative team to deliver exceptional results.
You will have strong communication skills, have a good understanding of safety requirements in a workshop environment, and you are eligible to live and work in New Zealand.
Skills & Experience | Mo ngaa puukenga- Two years’ experience in polishing stainless-steel components
- Ability to TIG weld
- Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving
- Has a positive, can-do attitude
- Possesses strong attention to detail
- Holds a US 3800 qualification to operate a pendant controlled overhead crane.
- Trained in Confined Spaces and Gas Detection
- Holds a current forklift licence.
