This is not a standard assembly role. This is for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the details others miss, and enjoys producing work to a consistently high standard. There is repetition, so you have to be ok with that.

The Opportunity
We are recruiting an Assembly Team Member to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Timaru. This is a hands-on role within a skilled production team, focused on assembling and finishing products to a high standard prior to dispatch.You will be working across the full assembly and finishing process, supporting the smooth flow of product through the business and contributing to overall production output.
What You'll Be Doing- Completing assembly, fit-up, finishing, and final presentation work
- Reading and working from drawings, job instructions, and specifications
- Using a range of tools including hand tools, rattle guns, air tools, and lifting equipment
- Supporting product flow through fabrication, finishing, and assembly stages
- Identifying and raising any issues that may impact workflow or product quality
- Operating forklifts and assisting with movement of materials and components

- Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm, approx 50 hours per week
- Experience in assembly, manufacturing, or similar hands-on work Strong mechanical aptitude and practical skills
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- A reliable, team-focused attitude, wanting to learn and grow
- Ability to follow processes and work to a consistent standard
- Experience in quality control or inspection would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Current forklift license with practical operating experience
- Physically fit and able to work on your feet and lift throughout the day
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical, ACC, criminal, and drug and alcohol checks
