We are seeking a skilled and motivated Experienced Gardener to join our client’s team in maintaining and enhancing the gardens of their valued clientele.
Our client is a Dunedin based garden maintenance and makeover company, with an established and growing clientele. They pride themselves on their expertise and are looking for a person who is passionate about gardening and creating beautiful spaces.This role is part time initially, generally averaging 32 hours a week, however for the right candidate this could vary depending on work load.
Location: Dunedin Hours: Part time Salary: $25+hr, range depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- General maintenance of garden beds,
- Seasonal planting, pruning, and pest control
- Operation and basic maintenance of garden machinery
- Ensuring the overall appearance of gardens are kept to a high standard
- Work with others in the team to ensure a top-quality service
Requirements:
- Professional gardening experience, ideally with Amenity horticulture qualifications.
- Formal horticultural qualifications (ie NZ Cert in Horticultural services - Amenity) preferred
- Good knowledge of plants, soils, and landscape maintenance
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Full class 1 NZ drivers’ licence with the ability to drive manual vehicle
- Reliability and flexibility a must
