Boning Labourers
Crusader Meats NZ Ltd is a progressive Meat Export Company located just out of Benneydale. We have an excellent reputation for quality and service.
We are seeking reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking people to join our team as Labourers in our Boning room. We have multiple vacancies.
Applicants must be physically fit to satisfy the demands of the position. In return we offer benefits above legislation entitlements for qualifying employees including our attendance incentive scheme.
This is a full-time fixed term position during our peak season commencing as soon as possible and ending in April 2026. A minimum of 60 hours per fortnight is guaranteed and successful applicants will be remunerated between $23.50 – $30 per hour depending on skill and previous training/experience.
The duties include but are not limited to:
- Scanning and moving carcasses to chillers
- Weighing carcasses to ensure weight requirements are met
- Tubing, packing and scanning products
- Prepare and line cartons to meet EU standards
- Clean and sanitise chillers and work areas
- Load products into correct containers
- Load containers as per loading arrangements
- Collect and remove bins containing bones
The right candidate must:
- Hold a current New Zealand driver’s licence or an equivalent International License and have a reliable vehicle.
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Have at least 6-12 months of relevant work experience as a Labourer, Factory Worker, Cleaner or related field.
- Be able to speak and understand spoken and written English
The candidate should have an understanding of industry hygiene standards, biosecurity protocols and food safety regulations.
Normal hours of work for these positions are Monday to Friday 6.50am to 5:30pm, with some Saturday work required over peak season.
