ROLES AND REPONSIBILITIES
HSEQ
  • Productively undertake a variety of quantity survey, contractual, and construction tasks under to achieve project requirements to the highest standard with regard to H&S, Quality, Environmental Impact, Cost, Delivery, and Reputation
  • Embody safety and responsibility as a role model for team members, fostering a zero-harm culture
  • Comply with company and legislative rules and regulations including health and safety, environmental, quality, team member and project performance reporting, recording and admin, care of equipment
DELIVERY/COST/TRAINING
  • Mission accomplishment – contribute to winning and completion of projects (meeting HSEQ, cost, and delivery targets) by administering contracts with accurate interpretation of contract documents, strong knowledge of relevant standards (including but not limited to NZS3910) and timely, accurate dissemination of information through appropriate channels
  • Conduct, analyse, interpret, and report on cost analysis to determine activity cost rates and propose where efficiencies may be achieved
  • Retrieve, negotiate, compare, and sort subcontractor and supplier rates to achieve the best offering available for the item
  • Estimating and preparation and timely submission of EOIs, price and NPA tender proposals and variations
  • Preparation and timely submission of claims including accurate quantifying and supporting documentation
  • Develop and administer project plans including but not limited to Project Management Plans, Testing and Quality Management Plans
  • Accurately analyse, interpret, report on, and administer project contracts
  • Accurately analyse, interpret, report on and administer project drawings, schedules, specifications, and data
  • Check supplier and subcontractor invoices against quotes and asbuilt information and site measures and resolve discrepancies
  • Provide technical expertise to develop industry skills in other team members by actively contributing to on the job and in-house training, and actively develop potential leadership and technical skill within team members
  • Follow direction and apply the skills and knowledge learned during formal and on the job training to continue to learn how to contribute to company success
  • Use initiative to improve work and work processes
  • Use experience and research to provide quick, accurate information to Estimators, Site Supervisors, Project Managers and Line Managers to ensure decision-making is in the best interest of team members, the company, and the project
OTHER
  • Contribute to policy and procedures, and implement business strategy
  • Take on specialist duties and skills such as engineering, surveying, drawing, measuring, analysis, control, training and administration
  • Produce briefings and reports as required
  • Communicate concisely and clearly to colleagues, both orally and in written work
  • Respond to the project environment
  • Account for and maintain property and equipment and ensure all KCL property and discrepancies are promptly reported
  • Take responsibility for presentation and conduct
  • Fulfill any specialist role for which qualification, skillset and experience is possessed as required
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders including regional authorities, regulatory authorities, consultants, clients, contractors, suppliers, team members and colleagues, members of the public to achieve the above objectives
