About the Role Please note that this role is only available for current Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora staff. Any non-Te Whatu Ora applications will be declined.The Clinical Supervisor holds a key leadership and educational role within the Echocardiography Department.
They are responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering an internal training programme to support Trainee Cardiac Sonographers in meeting the national registration requirements through the University of Auckland.This includes the provision of clinically focused, high-quality training and ongoing mentorship, fostering a learning environment that supports the development of future sonographers.
The Clinical Supervisor works closely with the Charge Cardiac Sonographer, trainees and qualified Cardiac Sonographers to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred service delivery, while maintaining operational efficiency across the team.
In addition, the position encompasses all standard duties of a Cardiac Sonographer.About the Team/Service Location The cardiac sonography team at Wellington and Hutt public hospital is a collaborative, multidisciplinary group of sonographers, cardiologists, physiologists, and nurses providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient echocardiography services.

Based primarily at Wellington Regional Hospital with outreach to nearby clinics, the service uses advanced imaging technology to deliver high-quality, patient-centred cardiac care.About you Holds minimum of 2 years' experience as a Cardiac Sonographer and is able to work independentlyRegistered with MRTB as a Sonographer (cardiac) and maintains an APCExperience in Cardiac Sonography staff education, training and supervision.Displays composure and resilience in high-pressure situationsDeep understanding and respect for hauora Māori models of careWorking at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
