Tiler

We are a growing tiling company based in Bay of Plenty. We have been very busy with various projects for our clients and are looking for two tilers to join our team.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation work including examining tiling plans, measurement and marking of work surface
• Waterproofing (full training given on our preferred system);
• Using tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes
• Floor and wall tile installation;
• Installation of tile trims; Grouting (both cementitious and epoxy); Silicone installation;
• Floor leveling as required; Shower base screeding; Mitering edges.
• Laying ceramic, clay, slate, marble and glass tiles on external and internal walls and floors to provide protective and decorative finishes.

The suitable applicant should have:

• NZQA level 4 qualification in wall / floor tiling or equivalent; Or have three years’ work experience in tiling.
• Ideally high attention to detail and quality of finish, excellent time management skills, ability to communicate well with clients, clean driving record.

The job location will be in Tauranga – depending on each project, will be in different places within Tauranga.

Hourly rate: from $23.50 to $35.00 per hour. Minimum 30 hours per week.

What do we offer?

There could be some shorter days and some long days. Also, we do some weekend work from time to time. So ideally an applicant could be flexible and able to work weekends from time to time.
