Bringing the global K-Chicken phenomenon to New Zealand diners, we operate a busy dine-in, takeaway, and delivery service with an on-licence environment.Our restaurant is well-loved by Aucklanders of all backgrounds who come for authentic Korean flavours, crisp chicken, and ice-cold beer in a modern, lively setting.
We are now looking for a dedicated, experiencedRestaurant Managerto lead our day-to-day operations and join us as a key member of our leadership team.About the Role
Reporting directly to the Director, the Restaurant Manager is responsible for the overall running of CHIMAC CITY - leading a team of around 9 staff across front-of-house, back-of-house, and kitchen, while working closely with our Head Chef to deliver an outstanding guest experience every day.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing daily operations across dine-in, takeaway, and delivery channels
- Leading, rostering, training, and supporting front-of-house and kitchen staff
- Managing customer service standards and resolving customer feedback professionally
- Working closely with the Head Chef to coordinate front- and back-of-house operations
- Stock control, ordering, supplier liaison, and inventory management
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, and Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act requirements
- Cash handling, daily reconciliation, and supporting the Director with operational reporting
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Maintaining a positive, professional, and inclusive workplace culture
About You — Essential Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in a management or supervisory role within hospitality, retail, or a customer-facing service environment- Proven ability to lead, roster, and develop a team of 5+ staff
- Strong customer service skills with experience handling complaints and resolving issues
- Experience with stock management, ordering, and inventory control
- Solid understanding of food safety and health & safety practices
- Confident with cash handling, daily reconciliation, and basic operational reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible roster including evenings and weekends
- The right to work in New Zealand
- LCQ (Licence Controller Qualification) Manager's Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
- Experience in a Korean, Asian, or quick-casual dining environment
- Experience working in a CBD or high-volume urban location
- Tertiary qualification in business, management, or hospitality
- Competitive hourly rate of $36 per hour
- Stable, full-time role: 35 hours per week

Hours of Operation & Location
Hours of Operation:Monday to Saturday, 11:30am – 10pm. Closed Sundays.
