Heavy Trax Hire are a long established rental company in business for 38 years, hiring an extensive range of earthmoving machinery with four branches in New Zealand.
Head office is based in Dunedin where we have been operating out of the present location for 35+ years.This diesel mechanic application is for our Mosgiel Dunedin branch.
We are presently in the process of updating and adding to our fleet.
We are looking for a good honest, experienced trade qualified heavy diesel mechanic that will fit in with our other staff.Important to have a great attitude to the job at hand and towards fellow workers and our customers.
Rental fleet includes; excavators, dozers, dump trucks, rollers, telehandlers, loaders, graders, etc
Job description expected but not conclusive;No 1; Troubleshoot the problem
Mechanical servicing, maintenance and repairs
Electrical diagnostics on modern equipment
Diesel engine, ECU, injection, repairs and rebuilds
Transmission diff and final drive repair/overhaul
Experience in the diagnosing and repair of the hydraulic system faults in various plant and equipment
Anything and everything that one can expect from heavy machinery
The majority of repairs are carried out in-house.
Must be able to work unsupervised on all makes and models of machinery in our workshop based in Mosgiel and out in the field.
Have 4-5 years experience in servicing earthmoving equipmentA class 4 licence would be a help
Be health and safety conscious and prepared to obey all our H&S and that of our customers.
The position is full time and long term.
