Gillespie Engineering is a medium sized company based in Penrose, operating since 1975.

We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our team in Penrose on a full time basis.

This position covers CNC milling and Programming on our Okuma machining centres. You will need to be a competent CNC operator and Programmer, mainly using G codes.

The work is not production based. This is an exciting role for an experienced machinist to do 1 off type work where every job is different.

The candidate will need to have completed at least 2 years' post apprenticeship with all relevant paperwork.

Key tasks include:
  • Program CNC Milling machines using Fusion 360 software in 3D Models and drawings.
  • Program CNC Milling machines using G Codes to drawings
  • Set and operate CNC Machinery to produce fabricated parts to technical specification
  • Ensure a high level of quality with manufactured components
  • Able to work unsupervised

Pay rate is $35.00-$45.00 per hour depending on experience and skill set.

Standard hours 7.00am -3.30pm Monday to Friday with overtime added to this. Hours negotiable to suit applicant as required. A minimum of 30 hours a week is guaranteed.
