Truck Driver and Yard Operations
Hourly rate - "Negotiable for the right driver "
A good portion of the working week is made up of full days driving and competing collections around the lower North Island from DFO's vast array of customers, whom you will communicate with at times- a through and diligent work ethic is required for this.
These are at time long days, with a full workload. (Hours can range from 45-60 per week)
DFO have a variety of trucks in their fleet, from small flat decks to larger vacuum sucker trucks. Once you've mastered your craft, be your own boss and manage your runs accordingly.
DFO are looking for someone who is willing to wear a variety of hats...To better understand the full scope of the job, you will learn and assist in the yard also, which includes processing the product and general upkeep of the site.
This can involve heavy labor and getting a bit messy. Someone physically fit is essential.
Required:- Full class 4 license
- Forklift- F endorsement (preferred, but not essential)
- Proven experience in the transport industry
- Class 2 & 4 Driver / Operator experience (manual trucks too)
- A New Zealand resident, or the legal right to work in NZ
- An unwavering commitment to Health & Safety
- A can do and positive attitude. Interacting with our customers on a daily basis
- Physical fitness. You'll be moving about visiting dozens of sites in a day if driving, and on your feet when in the yard
- a pre-employment drug test and medical will be completed.
