This role is based in our clinic in Exe Street, Oamaru, but may also include working across other clinics in the Southern District. There has never been a better time to join our Southern team.You will:be responsible for maintaining the oral health of children in our region, educating children and their families on oral health and the prevention of dental diseaserecognise, diagnose, and treat oral abnormalities and disease within your scope of practicework alongside a dental assistant as part of a supportive, experienced, and friendly team committed to delivering quality health services for our tamariki.View position description.About youWe are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is keen to grow their knowledge and skills and has a proactive approach to learning.
Excellent communication, natural empathy for children, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.You will need to be flexible to cover occasional rostered afternoon shifts and be able to work across clinics in the region. This may occasionally require staying away for up to five days at a time.New graduate applicants are welcomed.Our ideal candidate will have:two years of post-graduate experience as an Oral Health Therapist or Dental Therapistregistration and a current APC with the Dental Council of New Zealand as an Oral Health Therapist or Dental Therapista full, clean New Zealand driver's licence.Salary rangeThis role belongs to the Te Whatu Ora and PSA Allied, Public Health, Scientific and Technical CA (2023-2025) and falls between Step 1 ($77,087) and Step 7 ($107,600) per annum pro-rata.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
