Position: Cable Jointer - LV/HV Networks

You’ll play a key part in the team's success, contributing to business growth and honing your skills while working across a range of exciting projects.

• Cable Jointing: Perform jointing and termination of HV and LV cables.
• LV/HV Installations: Install and maintain new and existing LV/HV systems to the highest industry standards.
• Substation Equipment: Install, test, and maintain HV/LV substation equipment according to network specifications.
• Worksite Safety & Management: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and using appropriate PPE.
• Equipment Control: Maintain all tools and equipment to high standards, report issues, and ensure proper use.
• Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to clients and internal stakeholders, upholding our reputation for quality and reliability.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive team culture.
• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Prioritise health and safety, ensure hazards are communicated and managed, and report incidents and near-misses immediately.

• Experience: At least 3years of experience in the HV/LV cable jointing field, particularly in high voltage (110KV-220KV) and low voltage (11KV-33KV) work.
• Certifications: Relevant cable jointing certification or eligibility to gain NZ registration.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in handling a variety of cables (e.g., XLPE, PILC) and joints (e.g., Raychem, Elastimould). Familiarity with transformers, switchgear, and electrical theory.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to work in challenging environments, including heights, adverse weather, and with heavy lifting requirements.
• Safety Mindset: A strong understanding of LV/HV industry safety regulations.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
• Driving License: Full, clean driver’s license and the ability to drive across varied terrains and conditions.
