The NCSC Pacific Partnerships Team are looking for a Cyber Security Advisor Level 3 to join our team’s mission to support building a cyber safe and secure Pacific region.About the role:Your position will see you delivering various projects in multiple Pacific countries including supporting Pacific Government agencies, and operators of critical infrastructure on the need and methods to improve their cyber security maturity, and help Pacific Governments build national cyber resilience.

This will also include creating guidelines and information material necessary for your role. Your day-to-day duties may include: Developing, implementing and providing tailored assurance advice on levels of cyber resilience. Scoping requirements for the design and build of institutions, including Computer Emergency Response Teams or Cyber Security Incident Response functions.
Applying risk management principles and best practice to a wide variety of complex circumstances. Applying your in-depth knowledge of customer needs to design and deliver products and services. Leading the development of communities of interest, to support information sharing.
Working collaboratively with internal and external New Zealand Government agencies to support the delivery of initiatives.Who are we looking for?You will be someone who likes to navigate complex and challenging environments while finding ways to successfully reach the outcome desired by our organisation and partners.
You will be the project manager of your workstream and will be responsible for planning and delivery. Your ability to deal with ambiguity and be respectful of the cultural nuances across the Pacific will be an advantage.We will also be looking for: Expert knowledge and six or more years in IT security and/or ICT policy, particularly computer security, network security, and computer network defence or proven equivalent experience.
Experience in developing effective partnerships to achieve organisation goals. Experience in building bespoke international cyber development programmes. Ability to create and deliver fit for purpose and easily understood presentations and training to a range of audiences.

Highly developed communication skills and an ability to tailor your communication style to suit different audiences.
