**The opportunity**
As a Specialist Operator with our Transport team in Palmerston North, you'll do more than just operate equipment-you'll play a key role in setting up worksites, maintaining machinery, coordinating with your crew, and ensuring construction materials get where they need to be.
You'll be responsible for utilising a range of modern equipment including excavators, loaders, rollers, trucks, mid-mount tractors, and graders, all while contributing to a safe and organised workplace.
**In addition to the above you will:**- Conduct routine equipment safety checks, site set-up, and basic maintenance
- Transport materials between worksites and assist with loading/unloading tasks
- Complete daily reporting, keep accurate records, and support your team as needed

**We're looking for someone with:**- A full, clean Class 4 driver's licence (Class 5 is desirable)
- Wheels, Tracks and Rollers endorsements
- Dangerous goods endorsement
- Proven experience transporting machinery within civil construction / contracting roles
- Have a sound knowledge of all transport trucks
