We have a dairy and vape shop together in Kerikeri. We are currently seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to join our team as Retail Manager and Retail Assistant This is a unique opportunity to oversee operations in our diverse store offering dairy and vape products.

This is a full-time permanent position. You will be working from Monday to Sunday.

Position: Retail Manager x 2
Location: Kerikeri, Far North
Job type: Full-time – 30 hours per week (includes weekend work)
Duration: Permanent

Payrate: $25 to 27 per hour

As a Retail manager your responsibilities would be:

  1. Take charge of the overall operations of the store.
  2. Manage day to day operations of the store
  3. Create, execute, and maintain pricing and marketing and purchasing policies.
  4. Keep track of all financial activities and stock levels.
  5. Supervise the staff and ensure staff cover their working hours.
  6. Create a budget for the organization.
  7. Market and promote the products and services offered by the store.
  8. Offer customers products and services and give product usage advice.
  9. Manage the vape product inventory, staying informed about trends and customer preferences.
  10. Implement effective merchandising strategies for the superette section.
  11. Supervise personnel hiring, training, and monitoring.
  12. Verify adherence to safety and health laws in the workplace.

Skills Required:

  1. Good organizational and leadership skills.
  2. Ability to make sound decisions and work independently.
  3. We do not have expectations of qualification but do expect 6 to 12 months of supervisor or manager experience of the role.

Please note weekend work is involved so you must be available to work on weekends when requested.

As a Retail Assistant your responsibilities would be:

The role involves performing the below duties but are not limited to:
  • Opening and closing the store where required
  • assisting the manager in the day-to-day operations of the store
  • checking inventory levels and making sure that store is never out of stock
  • merchandise the stock neatly and keep the store clean at all times
  • Provide good customer service at all times
  • handling the kitchen as well when required
  • Packing the order and providing to customers
  • make sure the store is safe and secure at all times
  • manage the till and record any daily transactions.
  • follow the health and safety standards of the store at all times
