We’re building a cashflow tool that NZ accountants and their clients are calling “game-changing.” Now we need a calm, confident, code-loving legend to help us scale to the moon.

Hello Cashflow is a fast-growing Kiwi fintech helping small business owners take control of their finances. Our app plugs into Xero and instantly transforms confusing accounting reports into simple, stunning visuals that make cash flow easy to understand and plan for.

We've recently launched, already have over 300 paying customers, and we’re growing fast. We're looking for a hands-on Developer who can code, but also help hire and mentor junior-intermediate developers — and who’s excited to help build something truly impactful from the ground up.

• The Role

• Plan sprints and split out dev work?
• Help grow the dev team from 4 to 10+ over the next 12 months
• Help own full-stack feature delivery (React + TypeScript + Node.js)?
• Help guide architectural decisions and system improvements?
• Mentor junior and intermediate devs?
• Help shape the future of our product, team, and tech culture
• Tech Stack
• Frontend: React + TypeScript?
• Backend: Node.js?
• Infra: AWS?
• Integrations: Xero API, Stripe API, Quickbooks API
• You’ll Need
• Proven leadership & people management experience?
• Strong full-stack dev skills (React / Node / TS)?
• A good head for product, systems thinking & clean architecture?
• Confidence splitting work and leading sprints?
• The ability to mentor, not micromanage?
• A sharp eye for numbers and accounting logic (maths/accounting knowledge a bonus)?
• Kiwi resident or citizen (sorry, no international applicants or agencies)

• Have worked in a startup or small team where things move fast?
• Know Xero, QuickBooks or have fintech product experience?
• Enjoy simplifying complex systems and helping others level up?
• Can keep a team on fire without burning anyone out
