Cedenco Foods Maintenance Shift Fitter

Cedenco Foods NZ Ltd is a progressive food ingredients manufacturer with processing facilities in Gisborne and Hastings.

We currently have an excellent opportunity at our Gisborne plant for a highly motivated and skilled Tradesperson to join the Cedenco team. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, this position is critical in providing engineering and mechanical services to the plant, including the maintenance of industrial equipment.

About you:

Working as part of a maintenance team, candidates will have good interpersonal skills and an attitude for getting stuck in to get the job done.

Qualifications & skills:

• Relevant Mechanical Trades Certification or Engineering Qualifications
• Excellent general knowledge and experience in engineering repair and maintenance.
• Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions on a timely basis.
• Experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry or similar environments.
• Organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload in a challenging environment.
• Be self-motivated & capable of working both independently and in a team.
• Have experience in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyors, Motor/gearboxes & pumps.
• Good understanding of workplace H&S.
• Competent in MIG and TIG welding Mild steel, Stainless and Aluminium.
• Boiler Ticket (Class 2) – Preferred but not essential.
• Refrigeration experience – Preferred but not essential.

This role is permanent full-time, a minimum of 40 hours per week.
