About the Role
You will work with patients across key specialties including gastroenterology, diabetes management, eating disorders, and detoxification. The role involves delivering safe, evidencebased nursing care, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting patients through assessment, treatment, and recovery.
Nurses on Ward A3 work rostered, rotating shifts to maintain consistent 24/7 care. The environment is fastpaced and clinically diverse, supported by an experienced and adaptable team. Collaboration, clear communication, and strong clinical judgment are essential, and youll be part of a unit that values teamwork, professional growth, and highquality patient outcomes.
Experience in an Acute or hospital setting is preferred. Youll need to be comfortable working rostered and rotating shifts, and able to stay calm and focused in a busy environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred nursing care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with a range of medical conditions
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns when needed
- Administer medications and treatments in line with clinical guidelines
- Support patients with respiratory therapies, including oxygen and non-invasive ventilation where required
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Promote a safe working environment and adhere to infection control practices
- Participate in ongoing learning and professional development

Ward A3 is a 27-bed medical ward caring for adult patients with a range of complex conditions. Our main specialties include gastroenterology, diabetes, eating disorders, and detox. We work closely with specialist teams to provide safe, supportive, and focused care throughout each patients stay.
