Transport Maintenance is an established heavy vehicle maintenance company operating from a large site on Maleme St, Tauranga. We have a proud history and are celebrating 51 years of servicing the Bay of Plenty. We specialise in providing maintenance services covering trucks, trailers, buses, motor homes and other specialist mechanical equipment.
The work is always interesting, varied and challenging.
In addition, we are accredited to service EWPs (bucket trucks) and crane trucks (HIAB, Palfinger etc.)Invitation: We are looking for an experienced heavy automotive road transport technician to join our friendly team.
We offer a permanent position, (minimum 42.5 hours per week) and pay rates ($35-$45 per hour) depending on your skills and experience. Qualifications & requirements
Preference; Trade qualified to level 4Preference; Class 1, 2, preferably 4 license.
Preference; Welding certificates or experienceExperience in the heavy automotive sector or in a similar role.

Primary Objective;
To carry out repairs and servicing of client vehicles. These include trucks, trailers, motorhomes, diggers, dozers, the occasional diesel ute etc. This is to be conducted in a safe and professional manner and to ensure your workmanship is to a high industry standard.Make certain no vehicle/plant leaves the premises in an unsafe condition. Workshop Health, Safety and Environmental responsibility. Provide excellent service to customers. Aim to achieve 100% recoverable hours.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities
Investigate and arrange the service and repair on client vehicles in a prompt and accurate manner. ****** Workshop safety; ‘Zero Risk=Zero Harm’ ******Ensure job cards and timesheets are completed daily, accurately and delivered to the Foreman upon completion
Manage your time effectively; promote a safe, happy work environment
Ensure client satisfaction is met at all times; foster and maintain good client relationships
Adhere to all health, safety and environmental procedures
Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required
Respond to any damaged, malfunctioning, unsafe or lost equipment by reporting this to the Operations Manager
Undertake all training as required
Maintain open communications with work colleagues
Adhere to all Motor Trade Association (MTA) rules and regulations
Any other such duties that are appropriate to your position that may arise from time to time Competencies
