This is a key thought leadership role, driving high-investment programmes and supporting our most senior leaders with strategic talent and workforce initiatives.Reporting to the Manager Talent and Workforce, you'll be one of three Principal Advisers working in highly specialised areas.

Together, you'll ensure our organisation has safe, supported, and capable staff every day.A key part of this role is guiding the practice of our two Senior Adviser Talent colleagues, providing mentorship and strategic direction.

You'll also collaborate with teams across Leadership Development, Capability, People Services, and our diverse business groups to design, develop, and implement the systems and processes that underpin talent management at Ara Poutama Aotearoa.This is a role where you'll do big, interesting work with a team that invests in you and supports your well-being.

Flexible working is supported, but please note that this role is Wellington-based, and due to the level of stakeholder engagement, you'll be expected to be at our National Office at least three days a week.Mōu | About you You're a confident Principal Adviser who thrives on coaching, facilitating, and providing expert advice.

A lifelong learner, you bring a well-honed talent and workforce toolkit developed over your career.Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experienceTo be shortlisted, you'll need to demonstrate:Recent experience coaching and advising senior leaders on talent and workforce initiatives (essential)Expert knowledge in talent and workforce services, including talent mapping, succession planning, workforce analytics, and forecastingExperience presenting in governance environments and a confident facilitatorProven ability to lead organisational development initiatives, with a strong focus on inclusion and diversityHigh level of cultural capability and awareness, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of peopleThe ability to support colleagues with their development and practiceNgā painga | The benefitsThe midpoint of the salary range is $141,651 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $120,404
  • $169,982 per annum.
