Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm (40–50 hours per week). Flexibility for extended hours and weekends when required.

With a strong flow of work, we’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Contract/Project Administrator with Quantity Surveying experience to support project delivery across a range of construction projects.

Ideal for someone with Junior Quantity Surveyor experience, this role requires a strong understanding of construction methodology, pricing, tendering, and compliance.
The candidate will also support health and safety management.

Key Responsibilities:- Assist in preparing and reviewing construction contracts, subcontracts, and procurement documentation
- Support the pricing of works, including take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates
- Manage and prepare tenders, including tender documentation, distribution, and post-tender evaluation
- Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met
- Monitor and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, variations, meeting minutes, and progress claims
- Assist with applying for and tracking building consents and council approvals
- Maintain health & safety documentation and compliance, including site safety plans, toolbox records, and inductions
- Manage and update the Totika (or similar) system and pre-qualifications
- Help track project progress against budgets and timelines
- Coordinate procurement of materials and subcontractor services
- Assist with monthly project reporting and forecasting
- Support the team with valuations and financial closeout
- General administrative support to the project and site teams

Key Requirements:- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role or as a Junior Quantity Surveyor
- Strong understanding of construction processes, terminology, and project lifecycles
- Knowledge of New Zealand building codes, building consent processes, and H&S regulations
- Experience with Totika, Site Wise, or similar H&S platforms (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., Procore, Aconex, MS Project)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong administrative skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a project team
