Truck Driver Class 2
We are looking for a new experienced Class 2 Truck Driver to operate our Gantry and Hi- Ab trucks for our busy Wellington Team.
Macaulay Metals is a 100% New Zealand owned and operated Scrap Metal Recycling company and we’ve been in operation for over 60 years! We purchase both steel and non-ferrous metals, process them and sell them for further recycling. We are working hard to recycle scrap metal!
You will be collecting scrap metal from our customers in the Wellington region!
The successful applicant will have.- Have at least 12 months HT driving experience in New Zealand
- Have the legal right to work in New Zealand (e.g., NZ or Australian citizenship, Open work Visa)
- Be able to wear all the appropriate PPE gear as required on our sites and supplier sites.
- A clean current class 2 or Class 4 License.
- D, F endorsements, gantry truck experience would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
- Be pro-active and resourceful with a strong work ethic.
- Be physically fit.
- Strong supplier / customer focus.
- Be prepared to undergo a Pre-employment criminal history check.
- Be drug free and able to pass a Pre-employment Drug test and medical.
- Clear communication skills.
- The ability to work unsupervised.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday and Saturday morning as rostered or required. Weekly hours are approximately 40 to 45 hours per week.
NOTE: This is not a line-haul position.
