Skilled Chinese Cuisine Chefs Wanted

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Chefs to work at a Chinese restaurant based in Manukau City, Auckland.

The hours for this full-time role are minimum 30 hours per week,. We offer a competitive hourly rate of $27.00–$32.00 This role requires someone who is flexible and able to work both early and late shifts.

• Good knowledge of Chinese cuisine
• At least one year of relevant experience in a dining or catering establishment offering Chinese cuisine
• Good time-management skills
• A team player who is willing to learn and take direction

• Managing kitchen operations, workflow, and staffing levels
• Preparing and cooking all meals provided by the business
• Ensuring food quality meets the restaurant’s standards
• Monitoring and controlling kitchen stock levels
• Developing and updating the restaurant’s menu when required
• Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation, cooking, and presentation
• Establishing food preparation procedures and discussing these with the manager and kitchen staff
• Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising other kitchen staff
• Supervising and training junior kitchen staff
• Placing ingredient orders and ensuring timely replenishment of stock
• Enforcing hygiene regulations and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen, including utensils and food handling
• Maintaining health and safety standards in the workplace
• Undertaking other relevant tasks as required by the supervisor
