About the Role
We are seeking a Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our Perioperative Department based at Tauranga Hospital.
As an integral member of the team, you will assist patients and clinical staff throughout their surgical journey, from preparation to recovery. Your compassionate and reliable nature will contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient theatre environment, ensuring the best outcomes for patients and their whanau.
This is a permanent role, working up to 0.75 FTE (30 hours per week) and we encourage you to indicate in your cover letter how many hours you want to be considered for.

About you
The preferred candidate would be dedicated and empathetic individual with a passion for healthcare. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to supporting both patients and colleagues.- Experience as a Health Care Assistant in a healthcare or surgical setting.
- A Health Care Assistant Certificate Level 4 (preferred) or Level 3.
- Patient-centred approach with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
