Baker Opportunity in Miramar Wellington
There is room for creative freedom, especially as seasons change.
Hours - You will need to be able to start from 4:30am and aim to finish prepping for the next day around 12:30/1:00pm Tuesday - Saturday.
Responsibilities - You will be responsible for preparing a daily offering of scones, muffins, bombolinis, turnovers, sausage rolls, cinnamon rolls, cookies and canelés as well as preparing cheesecakes, slices, pastry fillings and occasionally fulfilling small to medium catering requests for clients.
You will also be responsible for liaising with management to control offering levels, preventing wastage where possible. We work in a small kitchen, so occasional assistance to plate desserts during service and sharing your oven is also required.
As it is a sole charge role, you will also need to be adept at keeping your fridge and equipment clean, rotating stock, and liaising with the Head Chef to order ingredients.
Commencement will be from mid-late July - ideally there will be a handover period with our current baker.
