A well-established Chinese Takeaway in Leeston is seeking two Cooks to join our busy kitchen.

• $25 - $30 an hour depending on experience and attitude.
• Minimum 30 hours per week.

• Minimum of 6 months cooking experience in a Chinese restaurant/takeaway.
• Ensure excellent presentation of meals to customers.
• Able to handle a high-pressure work environment at peak times.
• Able to implement health & safety and hygiene standards.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
• Able to provide written reference for the reference check.

• Create and cook full meals or specific dishes according to the takeaway’s menu.
• Plan menus and forecast costs effectively.
• Procure necessary food supplies for the kitchen.
• Uphold food quality standards and regulate portion sizes.
• Collaborate with management to address any concerns.
• Work with minimal supervision, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining high hygiene standards.
