Duty Manager - Thames

• Supervise and support staff during your shift, ensuring high performance and professional conduct
• Train staff on correct sales procedures and ensure product knowledge is up to standard
• Deliver and maintain exceptional customer service standards
• Promptly resolve any customer complaints related to products or services
• Monitor stock levels and prepare order lists as required
• Analyse sales data and maintain accurate records of financial transactions (cash, cheque, and credit card)
• Contribute to purchasing and marketing strategies
• Set seasonal pricing in alignment with store goals
• Drive store profitability by achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Open and close the store independently, managing day-to-day operations
• Manage store security, including cash handling, keys, alarms, and stock
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Regularly communicate with senior management regarding store performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement

• A minimum of a NZQA Level 2 qualification or 6 months of relevant experience
• A current Liquor Controller Qualification
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently
