Pharmacy Technician - Hawera
This position offers a unique opportunity to work within our Admission Discharge Transition Unit (ADTU), where your expertise will directly support safe and effective patient transitions.Reporting to the Pharmacy Technician Team leader, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including: - conduct comprehensive patient medication-history taking to support accurate medication reconciliation with ADTU- manage stock supply and oversee the Pyxis automated medication system within ADTU- collaborate with a wide range of health professionals to ensure seamless patient care- contribute to a variety of Pharmacy Technician duties across the Pharmacy department, supporting both ward-based and dispensary operationsFor more information, please click here for copy of the position description.
About the Team/Service/ LocationHealth New Zealand Taranakis Pharmacy Service is a collaborative and supportive department who provide safe and effective medication management across both Taranaki Base and Hawera hospitals. We uphold the highest standards in pharmaceutical supply, medicines safety, and clinical services, whilst constantly looking at ways to improve the service and care we deliver.Our staff work collaboratively in many multi-disciplinary teams across medical, nursing and allied health directorates with a shared focused on ensuring optimal patient-centred care.
